Towards a chair for the industry of the future
The industry of the future consists in transforming production systems by taking advantage of technological innovations (for example, the widespread deployment of digital technology to optimize production). It's an essential area of development if (mainly) industrial systems are to remain competitive: we're talking about an industrial revolution, comparable to the development of the internal combustion engine, which transformed our world. But this revolution is not just about technology; it is also about the transformation of our professions, and must be accompanied by an adaptation of our ways of doing things to ensure that people remain at the heart of the system that serves them. An industrial chair in the industry of the future would federate and energize investment by companies in their regional development. It would enable the development of multi-disciplinary projects (combining human sciences and technological innovation) focusing on concrete issues raised by companies faced with the inevitable transformation of their manufacturing processes. This application should enable us to finance the transformation of a structuring regional dynamic (Univ de Tours, Univ d'Orléans, transfer structures and companies with the support of professional branches) into an application for ANR funding for the Industrial Chair in the 2022 call for projects.
