2024 - 2026 OLMESCAP : Optimization and satisfaction measurement for a local food logistics platform
Region Centre-Val de Loire - Partners : LIFAT, VALLOREM et Plateforme Manger Bio Centre-Val de Loire.
Consumers are increasingly interested in organic and local food products. Cooperative supermarkets are on the rise, and school canteens increasingly want to eat locally. The only downside to these organizations is the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions they generate. Indeed, in this model of producer-consumer relations, the main source of GHG emissions is now the consumer, with many short journeys to the point of sale, often empty. This raises a number of questions that call for more global reflection on the way we consume. The work carried out by the research engineer and post-doctoral fellow focuses on optimizing the organization of goods transport between producers, the Manger Bio Centre-Val de Loire platform (Orléans) and customers, with the aim of reducing the total distance travelled and maintaining a satisfactory relationship between producers and customers. The study of stakeholder satisfaction criteria is an important element to analyze alongside reductions in GHG emissions.
