How to tackle an integrated problem: Sequentially? Parallelly? Globally? ...
First, we present a multilevel heuristic for an integrated problem based on a Hybrid Flowshop scheduling problem and a Multi-Trip Vehicle Routing Problem. Then we will explain how an exact method for the routing part could be applied for medium-sized instances.
The production requires consumable materials which are furnished in containers. Sometimes the scheduling and the cutting generate waste. We propose a bilevel problem where the leader agent fixes the due dates in order to minimize the waste and the follower aims to respect as much as possible the due dates by minimizing the Total Tardiness.
